West Virginia Wildlife Center

The Wildlife Center is a unique zoo experience where you’ll see wild animals interacting in their natural environment & habitat.  The area includes a 1.25 mile loop through the forest, allowing visitors to be immersed in the natural wonders of West Virginia.  As you walk along the animal’s spaces, you’ll find interpretive signs to learn more about each animal – including whitetail deer, black bear, mountain lion, fox, river otter & more. Also on-site is a gift shop (seasonal) & snack station, picnic shelters and pond.

Paradise in the Woods

Paradise in the Woods is a private property with a 3/4 mile long driveway to your own haven in the woods. Our cabin has a game room with a pool table overlooking the beautiful Buckhannon River, surrounded by the forest. There is an easy walking path to a peaceful and secluded swimming area.

Cabin sleeps up to 12 people and is pet friendly for an additional fee.

Dairy Queen

The Buckhannon Dairy Queen is one of the few walk-up Dairy Queen restaurants left and has been a fixture in Buckhanon for 60 years & has inspired visitors to reminisce of the ‘good ole days’.

Dairy Queen is seasonal in Buckhannon, opening early March and closing mid October.

The Buckhannon Antique Mall carries thousands of antiques and older collectibles, and is located 2 1/2 miles north of Buckhannon on the Clarksburg Road (Rt. 20 North). The Antique Mall is open 7 days a week, and has been open continuously for more than twenty years. The large parking lot is accessible to tour buses & motor homes.

SYCC Flea Market

SYCC will be hosting a Flea Market Saturday, April 20th 8am-5pm. Anyone interested in setting up can reach us at 304-473-0145. Reserve a 10×10 space inside our gym for $25, or outside for $20. Payment must be no later than Monday, April 15.

Oren + Folk

Oren + Folk sits on 62 private acres. The barn is located less than 20 minutes from Buckhannon, West Virginia. The 11 acre field can accomodate outdoor ceremonies, yard games, and a bonfire!

Accomodations include tables and chairs for up to 100 people. There are two dressing rooms, two public bathrooms, and one private bathroom connected to a dressing room.
