French Creek Christmas Tree Farm

As a family-oriented Christmas Tree Farm, we have been helping families create those special memories for 30+ years.

Our family is now serving some third (3rd) generation customers with the same caring experience we have provided since the 1980’s. We also believe that our children are our future and endeavor to provide very special experiences for them at our farm. We provide each child with an educational Christmas tree coloring book and, of course, a candy cane. We hope you will bring your family and start, or continue, to create those wonderful Christmas memories. Slow down, wander through our fields, breathe the fresh air, enjoy the sound of your children’s voices, and choose that special Christmas tree for your home. Don’t be surprised if Santa or Frosty the Snowman show up while you’re picking out a tree!

The 2020 Christmas Season will start Friday, November 27th at 10:00 a.m. Our hours of operation for this season will be: Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Wildwood Cabin

Wildwood Cabin at Paradise in the Woods along the Buckhannon River is all new!

This cabin has a downstairs game room with pool table, 3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms with an easy walking path to a secluded swimming area. There are fire pits at the cabin and by the river so you can build a fire and roast smores with your crew. Swim, fish, raft, hike, or just relax on the front deck and enjoy the wildlife!

The space sleeps 10 guests and is pet friendly.

Half the fun is the drive out to Gaines Diner! Travel on Route 20 South, and then veer left to stay on Route 20. Drive a few miles, then turn left onto Gaines Road by the Arlington Mini Mart. Follow Gaines Road for about 3-4 miles…. You might think you missed it, but just when you might give up, you’ll see the Gaines Diner on the left, with a white fence around it!

SYCC Flea Market

SYCC will be hosting a Flea Market Saturday, April 20th 8am-5pm. Anyone interested in setting up can reach us at 304-473-0145. Reserve a 10×10 space inside our gym for $25, or outside for $20. Payment must be no later than Monday, April 15.

Opera House

The Opera House is a full-service catering facility & entertainment venue housed in 3 Historic structures, located in the Heart of Historic downtown Buckhannon. In the 1930’s these three separate buildings were connected and opened-up on the 1st floor to accommodate the G.C. Murphy Company 5 & 10 store, which operated here through the 1980’s, before giving in to the big box retailers. We have Transformed the space into a Beautiful Event Center with 100-year old hardwood floors, Coffered Ceilings, Exposed Brick, Colorful Lighting & Stylish Decor. We can seat up to 200-Guests for dinner, have an elevated Stage for entertainment and Stylish Bar to get the Party Going. There is a Green Room off the stage with a full bath, wet bar and make­up table to accommodate everyone’s expectations.
