A State Born from a Nation Torn

West Virginia traces its very origins to the Civil War, and 150 years later it’s still possible to experience the history of the War Between the States. But Upshur County offers plenty of other options for going back in time, too. Take time to check out individual attractions, or get a great overview of the past at the Historical Society & Museum.
