West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Sleeth Gallery will host an exhibit beginning Thursday from an artist who found inspiration in Appalachia. The exhibit, “Exploring West Virginia: Sketches, Studies and Finished Works” by the late Carl Gaertner will run Thursday, April 3 through May 3 in Sleeth Gallery. An opening reception will be held Thursday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. with a gallery talk at 5:30 p.m. by the artists’ granddaughter, Erin Gaertner. The artwork donation will be held Friday from 5-6 p.m. in the Annie Merner Pfeiffer Library.
