THE HEIRESSES scores a 96% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes!

Chela and Chiquita are both descended from wealthy families and have been partners for over 30 years. Recently, their financial situation has worsened and they are forced to begin selling off their inherited possessions to cover expenses. Their debts lead to Chiquita being imprisoned on fraud charges, and Chela is forced to face a new reality of living alone. As Chela settles into her new life, she encounters the much younger Angie, and embarks on her own personal, intimate revolution.

This is a poetic story, rich with old world textures and delicately nuanced characters. Also, it’s the first time that we’ve imported a film to West Virginia from Paraguay!
