Closing Reception for WV Watercolor Society

The CAC Gallery is pleased to announce the 40th Anniversary Exhibition of the Region IV WV Watercolor Society. The exhibition will run from Saturday, August 18th – Saturday, September 21st, 2024 with a closing reception on Saturday, September 21st from 12pm – 2pm.

This exhibition showcases the talents of West Virginia’s finest watercolor artists. With over 50 pieces in the exhibition, visitors can view a range of subject matter and watercolor techniques. The stunning work on exhibit will give the viewer a deeper appreciation for watercolor painting and the Watercolor Society’s commitment to the medium.

The West Virginia Watercolor Society seeks ‘to promote and ensure the high standards of the art of watercolor painting in the state of West Virginia.’ For additional information, please visit https://www.wvwatercolorsociety.org/.

The gallery is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 4 – 8pm and on Sundays from 12 – 2pm. The CAC Gallery is located at 48 East Main Street in downtown Buckhannon, WV. All gallery events are free and open to the public.

Make & Take Mandala

A mandala contains geometric patterns that are often used for meditation. Using a simple layout of concentric circles, you will learn to let the stress go as you unwind and create these beautiful designs. Discover the process of creating mandalas and you may even come up with your own designs, or use this example to practice the technique.
