Join Junie B. on her first day of first grade, where many changes are in store for our pint-sized heroine: Junie B.’s best friend Lucille has found new best friends, leaving poor Junie B. out in the cold. In the meantime, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. In Mr. Scary’s class, Junie B. has trouble reading the blackboard and discovers she may need glasses! With a friendly cafeteria lady, an intense kickball tournament, and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal”, first grade has never been more exciting!
From Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, the creators who gave us Dear Edwina and Dear Edwina Jr., Buckhannon Community Theatre presents Junie B. Jones The Musical Jr.; brought to life in a delightful adapatation of four of Barbara Park’s best-selling books in a production created specifically for Broadway Junior performers.
This endearing show features many lovable characters and several catchy, fun-filled songs. Junie B. Jones Jr. will capture your heart.
Playing Thursday through Saturday, August 2nd, 3rd, and 4th from 7 – 9 pm, and Sunday, August 5th from 2 -4 pm at Virginia Thomas Law Performing Arts Center on West Virginia Wesleyan College’s campus in Buckhannon.
