Puddin and the Grumble, a show about childhood hunger, is being presented by the BUHS Theatre Department November 30-December 2nd at 7:00pm and November 3rd at 2:30 pm in the BUHS Auditorium. The BUHS Theatre Department invites everyone to come see the show, and make a difference by donating one canned-food item as their admission price to the show. These items will be donated to the state’s food bank, Mountaineer Food Bank to help fight food insecurity in our state. The theatre department will also be taking monetary donations for their program.
The story follows Puddin, a 10 year old girl, who has to move in with grandmother. Her mother is struggling financially and decides to work more, so she sends Puddin to her grandmother’s. Puddin now has to navigate a new school, a new home, and a new materialized fear: the Grumble in her stomach caused by hunger.
This family-friendly production is written by Becky Boesen with music written by David von Kampen.
