Come spend a day by the river with us floating, listening, learning, and celebrating our water!

It will be a super fun day of live music, food, kids’ activities, speakers, demonstrations, yoga, and an interfaith water blessing ceremony. Raft rides are available for a small fee. Bring the family! (Dogs must be on a leash.) Bring water from home or your favorite water body for the blessing, led by interfaith clergy. The event is free except for the water rides, but there will be organizations and vendors, too. Last year, the weather was great! This year, we’re hoping to add a tour of the water department, and two floats led by Day Trippin’ Adventures. If you want the early float, come at 9am to register and hop on the shuttle at 9:30. Call Alan at 304-516-6353. We are also hoping for yoga at 2pm.

Water is a finite (non-renewable) resource. Only 1% of all water on Earth is available for human use. Most of that is used by industry and farming. So little is left for us, we must protect it. This festival honors our most precious resource through music and dance, giving it respect and putting it in the forefront for a change. Come and join with us in celebrating water, its spirit, and the promise it holds for our future – IF we stop abusing it, protect it, and keep it in its rightful place in our lives.
