Send your creativity soaring to new heights as you let your hair down and shake out the old cobwebs in this innovative writing class. You will practice your new skills and experience true unharnessed freedom of expression. Perfect for anyone who needs a fresh perspective. No more writer’s block for you.

This class will be covered throughout Two Sessions, Saturday, June 9 and 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm. Several years ago Lewis Anderson, at the time a county deputy, began the first bluegrass gathering at the county jail. From there over a period of a few years it moved around. From the jailhouse it moved to Lester Kendrick’s music store on Main Street, to an industrial building where Lowes now sits, to Lewis County, and now back in Buckhannon. This energetic, live performance is great fun!

Celebrate West Virginia’s birthday with a special program about native snakes of West Virginia. Roy Moose with the USDA Forest Service will be presenting the “Snakes Alive”!

We’ll have educational activities and crafts for the kids designed to teach them how to identify and deal with snakes, along with a dunking booth! Our Wildlife Biologist and Natural Resource Police Officers will be among the “celebrities” you can take a shot at. We’ll be serving birthday cake in honor of West Virginia’s creation.
