A Summer Tradition

No summer is complete without a camping trip – from sipping coffee outside to roasting ‘smores by the fire. Settle into a campsite for a full outdoor getaway, or choose to swing by downtown Buckhannon for local food & shopping. Either way – we’ve got your next camping trip taken care of!

James W. Curry Campground & Library | A secluded 18-site campground, the Curry Campground sits atop a mountain in southern Upshur County. A playground and pavilion is on-site, as well as a full library. If your vision of a perfect camping trip is immersed in the quiet landscape, this is the perfect spot!

Audra State Park | Known for the Middle Fork River and its large rocks scattered throughout, Audra is a local favorite. Swim in the natural river-pool, book a site along the river or hike the Alum Cave Trail for spectacular river views. Camp in tents or a camper, shower houses are available, plus other on-site amenities.

Cabin Rentals | If you’re not ready to ‘rough it’ in a tent or camper, Buckhannon & the surrounding area has plenty of great cabins & homes listed on popular Vacation Rental sites like airbnb and VRBO.
