The  catch and release section runs from the City of Buckhannon’s water-supply dam, upstream to the first riffle.  The entire stream section is commonly referred to as the Buckhannon Pool. The maximum depth of the water at normal pool level is 13 feet and the entire pool area is 70 acres. In addition to Muskie, fishers will find largemouth and smallmouth bass.
