We still have a month of summer left, but the weather is already changing with cool morning & evenings. Before jumping into Fall, we want to savor the last parts of summer in Buckhannon and Upshur County, so here’s some of our favorites:
- Gather up Farm Fresh Tomatoes from Fish Hawk Market or the local Farmer’s Market. Getting fruit & veggies straight from the garden has so much more value than picking up a few from a big box store. The smell is amazing, and taste oh so yummy!
- Tent camping with your family – Audra State Park is rustic & a true authentic picture of West Virginia’s Wild and Wonderful. September is the perfect month to have a weekend camping trip while the days are still warm enough to enjoy the river, and a camp fire roasting smores will warm up the cool nights.
- Burgers on the grill (and maybe an ice cold beer) is probably the most iconic summer activity. We like to get our burgers from A.F. Wendlings, where they’re made fresh!
